How is your Foundation funded?

Despite the name Kennedy Tare-Otu Foundation, we are a public Foundation and rely on both endowments from the Private body ‘The Kennedy Tare-Otu Company’ and also on donations, grants, and partnerships. We increasingly focus on diversified funding strategies, sustainability models, and strong partnerships to continue operating on international level and achieving our goals.

Can I donate to your Foundation? And How?

Yes! We receive general donations or donations to specific projects which you can find on your Projects page. You can use our donate page/form for a general donation and our support a Project page for donations to a specific project.

How do you ensure transparency in the use of donations?

The Kennedy Tare-Otu Foundation is committed to financial transparency, accountability, and ethical stewardship of donor contributions. Can I choose which project my donation supports?

Yes! We receive donations for specific projects as well. Check our Support a Project page.

Do you provide reports or updates on how donations are used?

Yes! Our Donor transparency Policy page outlines our policy providing a break down on the transparency of donations, which includes reports and updates.

Is your NGO registered?

We are primarily registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), Nigeria. We also comply with financial reporting requirements under the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria (FRCN) to ensure transparency in donations and fund management, and also comply with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) anti-money laundering regulations.

Do you offer internships or remote volunteering opportunities?

Yes, we offer volunteering positions and are always in demand for volunteers. We currently do not take interns.

Are there any specific skills required to volunteer?

Yes, we are currently looking for Project managers, Data analyst, writers; scientific and non-scientific writers, always check our volunteer page for what we currently desire.
